After doing some server maintenance, comments are working again.

Thanks.

Arise, ye trolls!

Thank God! I was sorely missing learning about the world from Ray Martinez.

Think of it as a mandated rest break for safety reasons. The NTSB is continually citing crew fatigue as a contributory factor in train wrecks. (eg http://www.ntsb.gov/doclib/reports/2013/RAR1301.pdf ) We wouldn't want that happening here, would we?

Lazy comments -- good to see they're back at work. But why were comments doing server maintenance, anyway?

Beat me to it -- I was about to write, "After dangling some participles, grammar is working again."

They were on furlough. Something to do with a tea party.

You still haven't fixed comments so I don't have to sign in again after 24 hours. [grump]

Seems to be working fine.

Well done Reed.

"We wouldn’t want [train wrecks] happening here, would we?"

Are you saying that the willfully ignorant will no longer be allowed to post? Cool!

I don't know how often server maintenance is performed, or how often it affects the website negatively, but the next time you expect to do server maintenance, you might want to consider posting a note to that effect: "Road Work Ahead", or something like that. From the outside, we can't tell the difference between a planned outage and a problem which should be reported to someone.

Wishing all the best to your IT team, and those hard working comments.

Well, they needed to be taught a lesson. Those comments are part of the lazy no good 47% who want more Big Server and demand entitlements like additional storage space. The reallocation of sectors must be stopped at all costs or it's the end of Panda's as we know it. Something, something, Founding Mother Boards.
