Biology Building at University of Colorado Flooded
According to a report in the Boulder Daily Camera, vandals tore an eye-wash station from the wall Thursday night and flooded the Ramaley biology building at the University of Colorado. The building was damaged, but initial reports suggest that the scientific work of the faculty was unharmed. There is apparently no indication that the biology building was specifically targeted, nor that the vandalism is related to recent threats directed against University of Colorado biologists.

Was it an eyewash fountain of the deep?

Creationists? Or animal-rights crazies? (The former is a real possibility, but if I were a betting man, I'd put my money on the latter.)

Actually, I'd put my money on drunk college kids. Vandals rarely need an ideological motive for wreaking a little havoc. The fun is in the smashing.

I have no idea who vandalized the biology building; I don't have enough evidence to put my money anywhere. Certain members of the department received threatening e-mails a couple of years ago, however, and that is the only reason I thought the incident was newsworthy enough to be posted on PT. I haven't investigated further, but so far there have been no additional reports in the Camera.
