I'm impressed. A real example of someone who has been expelled - Chris Comer interviewed on video, and a person-by person and point-by-point rebuttal. You folks have been busy, expect to receive my "Truth Ticket" soon.
Could use a picture of Ben Stein spraypainting the Gott Mit Uns belt buckle, though.
You folks are ready!

The current EXPELLED header reads;
'Questions have been raised about the origination of some of the animation used in our movie EXPELLED: No Intelligence Allowed.
Claims that we have used any animation in an unauthorized manner are simply false. Premise Media created the animation that illustrates cellular activity used in our film.
- The Producers of “EXPELLED: No Intelligence Allowed”
But their stone tablet hard drive contains this text
'Questions have been raised about the origination of some of the arm hair simulation used in the hostile takeover of Jacob's alledged brother Esau's birthright.
Claims that Jacob used any vocal distortion or kidskin in an unauthorized manner are simply false. Pentateuch Media created the alleged hairiness by cloning goatstem cells, and since "Thou Shalt Not Steal' won't enter written law for threescore generations, tell your Harvard lawyers to soak their heads in the washpot of Moab.

Excellent analysis.
And yet this "Expelled" movie is slated to open in many theaters. Yes, it might flop, and we certainly hope it will.
Someone needs to follow the money trail, i.e., who's bankrolling this whole affair, kinda like the terrorist money trail (which it is). It can't be cheap. Is it Robertson, Dobson, Focus on the Family, Christe Minsitries, ..? Or could it even be, conspiratorially speaking, ... a warped under-the-table "faith-based" initiative supported by tax dollars? Someone's forking over bucks on this thing.
Also, is the media afraid to touch the subject? Religion, after all, is a hands-off affair. Oh, but this isn't about religion, is it say the ID supporters.
A smaller paper in Seattle did a great expose on the DI and I need to find the article. The DI was fuming because they published the "wedge" document.

Hahahah I loved this bit under Michael Egnor section, made me laugh at loud at work:
The Claim
Michael Egnor says in Expelled that he expected criticism, but was shocked by the “viciousness” and “baseness” of the response.
The Facts
Michael Egnor had apparently never been on the Internet before.

Great!! Now imagine the same amount of frenetic energy and concern being applied to people in our society who approve of, and engage in, torture.
Offhand that's the most obvious proof that humans have evolved that I can think of. We can harp and yak about evolving all we want, but if we're forced back into the dark ages under whip and gun, by people with creative juices aimed towards junk like Expelled, then it's gonna be very bleak for all of us.....
Whether we continue to lose our vestigial organs or not.

Interesting history from the Wikipedia site (eugenics):
"Eugenics was supported by Woodrow Wilson, and, in 1907, helped to make Indiana the first of more than thirty states to adopt legislation aimed at compulsory sterilization of certain individuals.[30]"
{NOTE: J. Frank Hanly January 9, 1905 January 11, 1909, was the Republican Governor at the time!! Does the DI tout that fact in their books?? Looks like both Reps & Dems supported eugenics}
"Although the law was overturned by the Indiana Supreme Court in 1921,[31] the U.S. Supreme Court upheld the constitutionality of a Virginia law allowing for the compulsory sterilization of patients of state mental institutions in 1927.[32]
Beginning with Connecticut in 1896, many states enacted marriage laws with eugenic criteria, prohibiting anyone who was "epileptic, imbecile or feeble-minded" from marrying."

Just poked around a bit on the NCSE site. The Expelled Goebbelites really had to stretch to find even a few cases of might have been but wasn't persecution.
Marks had his pseudoscience website pulled because Baylor had some questions about his linking his views to Baylor. Big Deal.
Winnock writes a bunch of pro ID articles. Nothing happens to her. What was the point of this?
Crocker is clearly totally incompetent and they pointed that out. Her Archaeoptyryx and Hippus slides would have got her flunked in a freshman class.
As I posted above, creo persecution of science has been much more common and serious.
The Expelleds spent millions of dollars on a propaganda film with no basis in fact. Just a bunch of lies strung together.
The NCSE site is restrained, low key, and scholarly. That is OK, plenty of other sites will be unrestrained, energetic, and blunt.
Andrea Bottaro · 15 April 2008
Given the extent of Egnor's "persecution", they probably should have titled the movie "Expelled, or at least very emotionally distraught".

The uncommon folks, of course, don't like it, though of course have nothing substantive to say against any of its arguments.
And yet somehow that content-free UD blog post instantly jumped to the top google rankings for expelled, above resources that actually do discuss the film, for real. Bwaaaa?

And yet somehow that content-free UD blog post instantly jumped to the top google rankings for expelled, above resources that actually do discuss the film, for real. Bwaaaa?
interesting.
considering the amount of traffic UD actually gets (it's quite small), I smell something fishy.
I wonder if this traces back to threats made against Google by Davescott after Google "mistakenly" de-listed UD for what appeared to be link spamming?
first, Davescott blamed Wes, then he blamed Google...
I wonder if they got Luskin or Johnson to write a nasty letter?

Good work NCSE and PT. Keep it up.
David Stanton · 15 April 2008
Why is Egnor on the list of the "expelled"? How does being criticized for making demonstrably erroneous arguments constitute being "expelled" from anything? Exactly what is he supposed to have been expelled from? Who did the expelling? Ddd he not get his MD degree? Has he been fired from his job? Has he had a drastic reduction in his patient load? If so, who is to blame for that?
Man, what a bunch of lying whining ninnies. It seems that they are emotionally incapable of telling the truth, even if it would somehow make them look good. If these are the best examples they have of "persecution" it's no wonder they played the Hitler card. They don't actually have even one example of anyone being expelled from anything.
They could have mentioned the California case where students from religious schools were denied entrance due to lack of qualifications. Now that is an example of being excluded at least, if not actually expelled. Of course, if the facts of that case become more widely known, it could have a very chilling effect on religious schooling in this country. But when they lose again, I guess that is going to happen anyway.
Raven's list is much better than this nonsense. Let's make a movie. We'll call it EXPUNGED: No intelligence allowed to exist, anywhere.

The stupidity of evolanders outside a half dozen narrow fields of science is so amazing it is tantamont to a continuous Three Stooges movie being played out in real time.
It's all so perfect...I am laughing so hard tears are rolling down my cheeks.
The irony meter remain pegged and the curcuits are smoking as I review the last 120 days of evolander posts and actions taken by the advocates of the big science power machine.
1) Belittle anyone and everone having anything to do with the ID movement as some form of right wing nutcase, pseudoscience moron, politically motivated hack, literal creationist YEC, or incompetent scientist.
2) Flood the internet with attack posts.
3) Accuse the developers, writers, and actors associated with the movie of deceit, incompetence, dishonesty, unfair practices, and illegality.
4) Call in all the attack dogs, liberal media types, and official evolander organizations and leaders to write, speak, and at every opportunity criticize and excoriate the movie itself.
4) Seek to limit access to the movie by fraudulent attempts to force an NC-17 rating.
5) Attempt to use the legal system to limit access and unduly burden the Expelled officials with response to legal threrats…totally unfounded in law.
6) romote unethical proposals to disrupt screenings and release viewing via phony tickets, disturbances, and picketing.
This activity list clearly illustrates precisely what the movie is about, the extreme and nazi-like power tactics by a coordinated element of science attempting to foist one view of life science on all Americans, prevent free speech in science and public debate, refuse academic freedom to both practioners and students of science who do not follow the darwin party line.
“For ’tis the sport to have the engineer
Hoist with his own petard: an’t shall go hard
But I will delve one yard below their mines,
And blow them at the moon. O, ’tis most sweet,
When in one line two crafts directly meet.” Shakespeare

Keith,
Do you actually agree with everything in the movie, or are you just blowing smoke hoping no one will see what a terrible lie it is? If you don't like someone's response to the movie, how about documenting where they are wrong instead of just insulting them because they don't agree with you. Oh wait, those were the same tactics used in the movie.
Oh, by the way, if you think that making insulting comments on a science internet blog can be equated with being a Nazi, then you have the same mental deficiencies displayed by those making the movie. So perhaps you can tell us what Egnor was expelled from.
Just to be clear, I want everyone to go and see this movie, no censorship here. People can form their own opinions about the content. I just don't want them to have to pay to see a worthless piece of crap without being warned first.

In THREE days, the CRUSHING suppression of Big Science will begin to end - hope, learning, data, honesty, academic freedom, science and American values will return to this nation. THIS will be the end.
Ben Stein and Premise have done such an outstanding job of presenting the essence of the struggles of ID that no one could hope to express it more clearly or more adeptly: suppression, Communism, Marxism, the Discovery Institute, Creation, and Religion are all interwoven in this complex and deeply-moving attempt at film-making. Caroline Crocker and Ben Stein together express themselves in such a sticky, sweet melange of undeniable TRUTH that all viewers MUST realize the unity of their position. Such a match virtually shakes Evolution, Natural Selection and Darwinism to its very core.
In the end, there is no science unless it is God-born science, and there is no data unless it is God-born data. Anything falling short of this mark is not of the one True science, HIS Science.
Mathematically, the Du Gerdemain manifolds have unfortunately failed to provide the insight into reality that was needed to disprove evolution, but God will eventually guide me to the RIGHT theory and show to me how to find the CORRECT data. In no way will HE allow the HUMAN SLAG of the DECEIVER's blogs to influence my research.
Intelligent Design follows the truth back to the reality that God is the Designer of the Universe. Each intricate part of every living thing was crafted first in the Will of the Creator and is expressed in whole by His Omnipotence in the reality which is all around. The Designer's WILL is sufficient in itself and of itself.
Why do you Hell-seekers deny the Truth? Why do you HATE the LOVE of God? Has Satan promised you a corner office and a wonderful life? A Voluptuous Maiden? A Handsome Man? A Skeptical Woman? A Thinking Man? Money? Riches? Gold? Baubles? A Paltry Few Data Points? A Least Squares Fit? How cheaply have you sold you ETERNAL souls for such a meager sum? Your linear regression will take you STRAIGHT to HELL. Nudge the data here, get a professorship. Nudge the data there, become a fellow. Fudge the data a little more, gain a Chair. Expel a colleague, become a dean. It is time for the DATA-WHORES to repent their EVIL lies. Follow the TRUTH and REPENT. One should not doubt the seriousness of this situation. The WORD is that It will end badly for those who do.
REMEMBER the TRUTH in this FILM! It will be the only thing that SAVES you.

Satan promised me a least squares fit? It really depends on whether I am trying to predict the value of the dependent variable, or describe the allometric relationship between two variables. For the latter, I prefer the reduced major axis, and St. Peter promised me that one.

Dale Husband, Your post implies that you are the arbiter of truth and that is preposterous on its face. As to your making sense of posts there is scant evidence you have the gray matter to read for comprehension.
David Robin: Since the entire list of multifarious activities undertaken by the Big Science machine was directed toward preventing the opening of Expelled or at least postponing it, the only aspect of the bet worth pursuing is that result.
You win if its postponed in every screen venue or it never opens anywhere.

I am unfamiliar with unintelligent design as a valid explanation for how all the progress in science and technology, art, music, philosophy, literature and all human activity in general has progressed in the last 5,000 years.
Can you lay out how unintelligent design works as a construct, a set of principles, a discipline, its methods and some peer reviewed papers on how unintelligent design should be employed in all scientific activities.
Is there a history of science text illustrating how unintelligent design has yielded the lion's share of achievement in science?
Or maybe there is another hypothesis, but it seems either intelligent design is the rule or unintelligent design is the rule....if not, what is the third alternative to achievement in human endeavors.

Bottom Line:
Do not use "Expelled Exposed" as your anchor text! (The anchor text is the visible text in a link). We need to get it moved higher in the Google rankings for when people search for the the movie. That means searches that have "expelled" in them but not "exposed".
So, for example, like this: Expelled :)
