"Creation Science 101" by Roy Zimmerman
I recently attended a show by Roy Zimmerman. Roy has some very funny songs on political topics such as Dick Cheney, the sexiest man in the world and Intelligent Design and Saddam Shame and "Defenders of Marriage" and the very touching "Thanks For the Support"
Enjoy

This is no more a relevant post for the Thumb's declared topic than Myer's rabid anti-angels rant was. Why do you insist on polluting this blog with leftwing political stupidity?

Because it annoys prats like you, obviously. Start your own blog.

Uh, wolfwalker, humor is often relevant to key issues. The more laughs, the more relevant. Doesn't necessarily point to truisms, but more to areas of controversy. Some would conclude that those areas are demeaned by the humor in a way that supports the attacking position. That might be true where the humorist goes on with more one-liners supporting the inanity proffered, and that these garner laughs as well. It's been shown that points made with humor are more readily accepted than those made otherwise, which was demonstrated in the early days of TV, when the 'serious sells' ("Anacin is like a doctor's prescription, that is ...") gave way to 'Charlie the Tuna' et al. Humor may insult, it may obfuscate, but often, by lowering the bar it may actually help to further a point of view.
That said, maybe AiG should post a link to Roy's creationism video.

Also, wolfwalker, Mr Zimmerman is quite accurate, in his own snide way, about how Creationists "teach" science.

It's not like the ID/Creationists don't sneer at scientists. Duane Gish was a master of sneering. The pundits on the Coral Ridge Hour do their sly sneers at science while trying to portray themselves as the "reasonable ones" with the "true science." The humorless drags at the Discovery Institute also do this routinely.
What makes the parodies about ID/Creationism funny is that one simply quotes the very words and arguments made by the ID/Creationists. On the other hand, the ID/Creationists in their attempts to sneer at science have to make up things and distort science in order to appear funny to their followers. But then these distortions become the grist for parodies of the ID/Creationists.
So the main difference between the humor directed at the ID/Creationists and the sneering humor directed at scientists is that the former speaks truth while the latter tells lies. This is why the former is funny and the latter is not.
